Jacob Hinton
Founder & Managing Director
Jacob brings twenty years of supply chain leadership to his clients, with responsibility across operations, transportation, procurement, and quality covering more than $2B in spend and $295M in delivered savings. Nine of those years were spent at Amazon, where he led teams and leaders through operations, transportation, quality, 3PL, and technology integration at a scale few operators ever work in. He carried that standard into senior supply chain roles at USAA and Chewy, running national programs in financial services and e-commerce.
Since 2017 he has advised buyers and owners through due diligence, cost reduction, technology implementation, and field testing. He created Hinton Capital Advisors to bring that work under one practice.
Jacob served in the United States Army, including two combat deployments as a Joint Fires Observer in the 82nd Airborne Division, and later as a Military Intelligence Manager in the Army Reserve. He studied political science at the University of North Carolina, where he founded the student veterans organization and was inducted into the Order of the Golden Fleece, the university's highest honorary society. He holds an MBA from Northeastern University, completed Wharton's executive education program, and is completing a doctorate in business administration at the University of Florida.
He is also a founder of Veterans in Supply Chain, a national nonprofit connecting veterans to careers in the industry, and is deeply engaged in veteran resource programming. He lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
